Who we are: Good Turn is made by Munish Tanwar, United States.

The short version
Good Turn helps a family share out chores. We collect as little as we can to do that: your email to sign you in, a first name, and the chores your family adds. We do not show ads, sell data, or track you.
What we collect
| What | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To send you a sign-in code | Only you and us |
| Your first name | So your family knows whose chore is whose | Members of your family |
| Your family’s name and family code | To group your family and let people join | Members of your family |
| Chores: their names, dates, who has them, and when they were finished | The purpose of the app | Members of your family |
| The look (theme) you chose | So it follows you to a new phone | Only you and us |
| Your phone’s notification address | To tell you about new chores and send one reminder | Only us and the notification services below |
We ask the year you were born to check you are 13 or older. We do not store it or send it anywhere. Your phone only remembers whether the check passed.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or anything about how you use other apps. The app has no advertising and no analytics.
Children
Good Turn is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Who helps us run the app
We use these services to run Good Turn. They process data only to provide their service to us.
- Supabase stores the data above and handles sign-in. Our database is in the United States.
- Expo, Apple and Google deliver notifications to your phone. They receive your phone’s notification address and the text of the notification (for example “New chore for you: Wash the dishes”).
- Resend sends the sign-in code to your email address.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your name, email, sign-in and phone addresses are deleted. Chores you finished stay in your family’s list without your name attached.
Your choices
- Delete your account: see Delete your account.
- Leave notifications off: the app works without them, and you can change this in your phone’s settings at any time.
- See or correct your information: your name and chores are visible in the app. For anything else, contact us.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your information, such as asking for a copy. Contact us and we will help.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
